Did anyone else notice the sign at the pub (I'm guessing that's what it was) where Regina and Cora parked the car?

The Rabbit Hole.

If Alice *does* exist in Storybrooke, surely she works there?

Also in the ever-changing ships that this show instills in me, I'm now shipping Ruby/Dr Whale. I can't help it! LOL!

I would love to see Alice working as a bartender or waitress. That would be so crazy but cool! I wish we could get some more episodes that talk about the Mad Hatter and how he had his daughter.

Everyone can be shipped with everyone. It's ridiculous!

Which is another connection to Cora, the Queen of Hearts!

In the first episode of the series, Alice in Wonderland is shown briefly in Henry's book, so my belief would be that Alice's adventures in Wonderland probably play out as they do in the books, in which case she would be in England, not Storybrooke. She's not a part of their world, she's a part of ours.

But of course, the writers for OUAT don't seem to have any idea what they're doing when it comes to adapting novels instead of fairytales (see: Alice, Peter Pan, and now Frankenstein) so I wouldn't be surprised if Alice ends up being Jefferson's dead wife or some shit.

What I really want to know is WHERE IS THE MARCH HARE

free bitch, best character, Hatter/Hare 5evar, etc etc etc

Also team Frankenwolf is my new favorite thing next to Aurora/Mulan tbqh

no but seriously is the fact that Frankenwhale was suicidal in this episode going to be a thing that’s ever brought up again? because it seems like a thing that should be important

In the episode of Dreamy during season 1, when Leroy and Mary Margaret were selling candles for the nuns, wasn't there a shot of someone opening the door chewing on a carrot? I always assumed he was the March Hare.

I need to do another rewatch to allow me to fully absorb this ep. So much happened, and so much that could have didn't. I'm still torn on the Regina/Cora interactions as it was NOT what it was hyped to be.

We got more character development out of Whale than anyone else in this ep, and I found it absolutely fascinating, but the whole suicidal thing seemed VERY OOC for him somehow. Which is probably part of the reason I need a rewatch.

Yep! And they focused on the sign a bit. Which makes me think it's a breadcrumb for a future episode.

Maybe Alice. Maybe the White Rabbit? That would be cool.

And it's hard NOT to ship Ruby with everyone she looks at. *g* People have been shipping her and Archie since last season based on them standing next to each other. And then there's Ruby and Belle and Ruby and Snow and Ruby and Charming. So many ships, so little time!

I totally ship Ruby/Whale now, yes. I was very happy with them both being single so far, but they were great in this episode.

I'm kind of caught up in the idea that Alice is Grace's mother, in which case I wouldn't like her to be in Storybrooke, because you'd think Jefferson would have looked? A lot? :/ I wonder what her connection to Cora is, in any case.

I also love the idea [personal profile] fiones put forth, about Alice being from our world.

Oh gosh, yes, the Ruby/Dr. Whale interactions were so very fabulous. I don't really like Dr. Whale personally - I don't hate him, but I've just never warmed up to him - but here, he was very sympathetic, especially during his mad quest to save his brother in his world.
