ouatWhy is there not more squeeing over this episode? Squee with me! Perfect characterizations, plot, everything!
-Belle and Rumple on a date at Granny's!!!
-Rumple, Regina, and Charming working together for Henry. I loved the chemistry/alchemy set that she used to make the potion. And her quote along the lines of "If I know your Grandparents, they always find one another." I also thought that it was really cute that Regina was asleep in the chair in Snow's apartment, with both her and Charming watching over him.
And Aurora has become a total badass. I really thought she was going to be a wishy-washy character, but she seems really strong, and determined. It really worries me that Cora is controlling her, at the end. But Barbara Hershey is perfect in this role. Perfect.
David/Prince Charming's decision to have Rumple and Regina put him under a sleeping curse? Was he either really brave, or really stupid?? What if it is a trick?

Date: 2012-11-27 05:22 am (UTC)first, the whole "Regina isn't really Henry's mom because he's adopted!" schtick was gone. She clearly is acting as his mother, and he is clearly accepting her in that role. Their relationship is complicated, but is definitely mother-son. Which, yay, because seriously the way the show generally treats adoption is seriously bad.
second, that we're back focusing on the women. I love the women, they're why I watch. I can get cute white guys on any other show on television, strong and complex women who are the center of the plot are few and far between. So yay for that, too. It was Aurora, but not just her. It was also Mulan pointing out (quite rightly) that they have no reason to advance Snow and Emma's agenda (and not being villainized for it), and Regina, and Emma and Snow, and Cora.

Although she also believes that Hook is "too pretty for his own good", which might be true, but I still have a thing for him personally!
